Accessibility

Even less mobile visitors can enjoy a complete museum experience.

The entire museum building is accessible for wheelchair users, visitors with strollers, or walkers. Portable chairs and two wheelchairs are also available at the reception.

Thanks to a subsidy from Visit Flanders and the Randfonds, a connection was made between the museum building and the historic farmhouse of farmer-painter Felix De Boeck, with a focus on accessibility.

The path in the museum garden is located on the grounds of Felix De Boeck, which is a protected site. Efforts were made to respect the maximum slope gradient, which is why the path winds and has one small section that is slightly steeper. Visits to the farmhouse are always guided by one of our volunteers (a host or hostess) who will be happy to assist if you come independently in a wheelchair.

Do you have any further questions while preparing your visit? Feel free to contact us by email or phone — we’ll be happy to help.
