Museum of Ixelles, 1965. The museum opens the first major retrospective devoted to the work of Felix De Boeck, directed by Jan Walravens. As a reflection on the exhibition Abstract art in as the pigeon flies, we show a selection from the 167 works of Felix De Boeck that were exhibited in the Museum van Elsene at the time. The exhibition shows the most important phases of the artist’s plastic research. With this retrospective the popularity of the artist grew. He was 67 years old.
